Not to be confused with Pancake Day that's celebrated in the earlier part of the year near Easter time or IHOP's own celebrated National Pancake Day, this National Pancake Day, aka Lumberjack Day, aka Eat Like a Lumberjack Day observed every year on September 26, was created by a couple of friends as an excuse to eat a ton of pancakes and waffles. They established it as an alternative to "Talk Like A Pirate Day", which lands on September 19. #LumberJackDay #EatLikeALumberJackDay

Whatever the reasons, we don't mind an extra excuse to make and eat a ton of pancakes - like a lumberjack!
