BANNERS: National ICE CREAM SANDWICH Day! | Aug 02

Yes, we all know about the Ice-cream-sandwiches-that-wouldn't-melt craze that went viral a few years back but we've also learnt, since then, why they wouldn't.

It all has to do with those stabilizers and emulsifiers (found in many everyday products), that helps to control the melting rate of ice cream as well as prevent the crystallization on products when they are taken in and out of freezers.

Either way, all these additives have been approved by the FDA (US Food Drug and Administration) so we won't let that craze stop us from enjoying a nice ice cream sandwich (or two) today!

Happy National Ice Cream Sandwich day!!

BANNERS: WORLD WIDE WEB Day! | Aug 1

The World Wide Web. Where would we be without it today?  Happy World Wide Web Day!

The World Wide Web ("WWW" or simply the "Web") is a global information medium which users can read and write via computers connected to the Internet. The term is often mistakenly used as a synonym for the Internet itself, but the Web is a service that operates over the Internet, just as e-mail also does.

English scientist Tim Berners-Lee invented the World Wide Web in 1989. He wrote the first web browser computer program in 1990 while employed at CERN in Switzerland. The Web browser was released outside of CERN in 1991, first to other research institutions starting in January 1991 and to the general public on the Internet in August 1991.
